Cecil Townsend Naude, founder of Townsend Naude Attorneys, holds a B Proc in Law from UNISA and brings over two decades of specialised legal experience to his clients. With a distinguished background as a lecturer at the University of South Africa, Tshwane University of Technology, and the University of Pretoria, Cecil is recognised for his expertise in Occupational Health and Safety (OHSA), Mine Health and Safety (MHSA), and Criminal Law.
As an approved Continuing Professional Development Provider registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa, Cecil regularly presents at professional conferences and trains engineers, safety practitioners, and industry professionals. He has also published three books on statutory legislation through the Tshwane University of Technology.
Having worked in both public and private sectors before establishing Townsend Naude Attorneys in 1999, Cecil offers a well-rounded perspective that bridges the gap between employer and employee interests. He also holds the Right of Appearance in the High Court of South Africa, enabling him to represent clients across a broad legal spectrum.
